Reunion Tips - Know Before You Go

Hello Family! We are weeks away from the 45th “All in One” Foster Family Reunion hosted in Los Angeles, CA from July 31 - Aug 2, 2026. Please see below for upcoming deadlines, as well as useful information to help you plan your trip to Sunny California! 

Hotel Deadline

There are only 4 days left to secure the $169/night Foster Family rate at the host hotel. You can book your rooms with the link below, or by calling 310-536-0400, and using the group block code, 2607FOSTER under "Foster Family Reunion July 2026".  Free parking for 1 vehicle per room.  Any additional vehicle is $22.50/night. Again, in order to receive the Foster Family Reunion rate, you must confirm your room by June 30, 2026.

Reunion Dues Deadline

We are about a month away from the 2026 Foster Family Reunion, and we are so excited to see you all. In order to plan properly and ensure that there is enough food for everyone, it is critical to pay your dues ASAP. The last payment extension is July 1, 2026. Registration can be found here if you have yet to register. Please see below for payment options and call Huberdean Lowe at  (310) 339-1289 with any questions.

  • Payment Options

    • Zelle – Please make payments electronically through Zelle using dueseason1619@gmail.com

    • Checks or Money Order – Please make checks or money orders payable to Huberdean Lowe, and mail to Huberdean Lowe at 3863 W 119 St. Hawthorne, CA 90250.

Scholarship Deadline - Apply here

Please remember to submit scholarship applications by July 1, 2026. Scholarships are open to ANY family member who has graduated high school and will be attending (or is already attending) an accredited College, University, Trade or Vocational School is eligible to apply for a scholarship. Recipients may only receive an award once.Once completed, please forward your completed application and proof of enrollment to fosterfamilyreunion2@gmail.com.

Hood Life Tour 

If you plan to attend the Hood Life Tour, please pay for your ticket ASAP. There are only 15 spots available at this time, and seats will be filled based on the first to pay their reunion dues, as well as the tour fee. 

Talent Show Sign-Up’s

Foster’s Got Talent is back! Please reply to this email if you are interested in participating in the family talent show this year. Each act will have 3 minutes to perform and/or present. We have a limit of 8 spots, so please sign up quickly if you are interested. 

2028 Reunion Interest

Calling all Fosters!! It is an honor to host our beloved Foster Family Reunion, and we want to be sure everyone has a chance to take part in this gift. We will be in touch with all interested parties, and announce the next destination at the 2026 banquet in Los Angeles. 

Know Before You Go

  • Free Time 

    • While we have many activities planned for the family, there will be adequate time for individual explorations of Los Angeles. You can find the Foster Family Reunion schedule of events here for reference. Please be sure to add extra commuting times in your schedule if you plan to go sight-seeing. Los Angeles is a very large city, and the traffic can be grueling and unforgiving. Our host hotel is on the West Side of the city, so please be sure to keep that in mind with your plans. Please see here for a map of Los Angeles that denotes popular tourist destinations. 

  • Packing Tips 

    • While it will be sunny Los Angeles during the day, it will be brisk at night. We are staying in Manhattan Beach, and the coolness from the ocean will make the nighttime significantly cooler than it is during the day. We recommend packing options both for the day-time heat, as well as the night-time breeze. If you signed up to go to Bruce’s Beach on Saturday, please remember to pack a beach towel or blanket. 

  • LAX

    • Los Angeles International Airport is a very busy airport. Please prepare for large crowds of people, long wait times, etc. The airport is approximately 5 miles from the hotel. We advise using a ride-share company or taxi to get from the airport to the hotel. 

  • Closest Hospital/Pharmacy

    • Hospital: Memorial Hospital of Gardena | 1145 W Redondo Beach Blvd, Gardena, CA 90247 

    • Pharmacy: CVS | 4775 Rosecrans Ave, Hawthorne, CA 90250
